In the last week or two, Cole Reynolds has been showing a lot of interest in the potty. I was in no rush to potty train him as I'd always heard that its best to wait until they are mentally ready and you'll know when that is. Joel, on the other hand, had been DYING to get Cole a potty. I did go ahead and get him a potty book to get him used to the concept of a potty. And then, when Joel couldn't contain himself any more, we got a potty. Cole Reynolds LOVES the potty. He wanted to sit on it immediately after getting home. He didn't pee in it, but he loved it anyway. The next day, he did his usual tugging at his diaper when he pees and then he ran to the bathroom. I pulled his pants down and took off his diaper. He enthusiastically got on the potty and hung out. About a minute later, he peed. I laughed out loud. Crazy kid. I have no idea if he peed at the time of the diaper tugging and then again in the potty, but he definitely peed in the potty. He was so proud of himself.
In other Cole Reynolds news, we bought Cole a Sooners jersey last Friday in anticipation of the season opener. It turns out, Cole LOVES his jersey. He wore it all day Saturday and Sunday, and I received a text showing me that he'd elected to wear it again today. The good news is that our cost per wear will go from being pretty ridiculous to ridiculously cheap at this rate.
