Better Late Than Never

Here goes for my Thanksgiving Post. We spent our first Thanksgiving as a family of three with just the three of us. My parents took a break and went to Oklahoma with my brother. We were blessed with great weather so we took advantage of it and went to the park. The first picture below shows the Cole Reynolds I see in my minds eye when I think of him. A sweet little angel, if I do say so myself. He LOVES going for walks. He has started pointing, and he will point at his stroller urging his Grandpa and Abuelita to take him for a walk. For such a busy little guy, he is always so peaceful on his walks. He just sits quietly and takes it all in. There is not much I love more than going for a walk with my baby and my hubby--true bliss.

The next picture shows what happens when Mr. Cole doesn't get what he wants fast enough. In this particular instance, it was being pushed faster that he wanted. Usually he prefers to just sit and watch, but this particular day he wanted to be pushed. I like the picture for a couple of reasons. First, even when he is fussy or demanding, I still think he is awfully cute. Second, you can see his two bottom teeth. He finally has teeth! He also has two top teeth at this point. My little baby seems to have grown up in the blink of an eye. He changes so much every day. I just want to bottle him up and save him the way he is, but I know that I can't. I find myself closing my eyes and trying to memorize everything about him--his sweet baby breath, the way he breathes so peacefully and contently, the way his soft cheeks feel next to mine. the way his hair smells of baby shampoo, the cute way he sighs...I could go on an on. I've thought it a million times, but I have to say, I feel blessed beyond belief to get to be Cole Reynolds' mommy. Every day is a new and exciting adventure full of surprises.
