Better late than never. Friday before last, we went to Fort Worth for a Roman family vacation. It was our first time to spend the night at a hotel with both kids. I must say, it was not easy at the time, but looking back it really wasn't SO bad. In fact, we are either crazy, glutton for punishment or both because Roman Family Hawaii 2013 is on the books. We are going in October!!
Now, for a quick recap of Fort Worth--on Friday we watched the cattle drive, ate at Joe T. Garcia's, walked around downtown, went to Barnes & Nobel and went swimming. Honestly, swimming was the biggest hit of all (a little Hawaii inspiration). Saturday, we went to a museum that we thought was a fireman museum, but it turned out it was just a museum of Fort Worth's history at Fort Worth's first firehouse. As such, it wasn't the biggest hit, but It certainly prompted several questions about why the firehouse was no longer at firehouse. When we got home, Cole turned his closet into a firehouse museum.
All in all, it was a fun little getaway minus the lack of sleep.
