First Day of Pre-School

Today was Cole Reynolds' first day of Pre-K 3 at St. Monica's.  Yesterday, he was very excited to go to school where he would learn to be a fireman.  This morning, he was equally as excited.  He happily put on his uniform (blue shorts and a red St. Monica's t-shirt) and bravely headed off to school.  When I saw him this afternoon, he said his first day went very well.  He met a new friend name Noah, and he got a new backpack.  Very exciting stuff!

I wonder if they were asked to introduce themselves this morning.  On Sunday, we took him to Brooke Levay's 2nd birthday party.  It was at Little Gym.  All the kids were sitting in a circle and the leader went around the circle asking the children to introduce themselves.  Cole was sitting on Joel's lap a few kids over from me and Gemma.  When it came time for him to introduce himself, I wasn't sure what he'd do.  I thought he was probably as likely to ignore the leader and refuse to introduce himself as he was to declare that his name "coyote."  Much to my surprise, he loudly piped up that his name was "Cole Reynolds Coyote Fireman".  Ha!!  That's quite a name for a little guy.

Here he is on his first day!

The whole family on Cole's big day!

Getting out of the care and excited to face the day!

The obligatory picture on the front steps with daddy.

Without prompting, today he did his funny pose.  Wonder if someone taught him this?

Walking in to to his classroom he graciously turned around for a picture.

Assessing the situation and getting ready to play.
