Helping Hand

Every day at around 10:30 am, Cole Reynolds gets a "snack" of his "lechita" (a.k.a. his yummy amino acid based formula).  He is a super trooper and doesn't really mind any more.  Nevertheless, he doesn't really just take the sippy and down the drink himself.  We follow him around, or if we are lucky read him a book or build something with legos, while we force sip him.  Gemma has obviously observed this ritual MANY times.  So, monkey see, monkey do.  A couple of weeks ago in church, after Cole had finished his lechita, she pulled the sippy out of the diaper bag, opened it and proceeded to shove it in Cole's mouth for a drink.  Cole, trained as he is, opened his mouth and proceeded to drink.  It was pretty funny.  (Side note:  Obviously, since he was done with the lechita, we took the sippy away.  Gemma was none too happy about that. )  What's also funny is that as she sticks the sippy up to his mouth, Gemma opens her mouth as if to show him that he needs to open up.  Last week, I got the picture below from Itzell.  Gemma was following Cole around and feeding him his lechita.  Apparently, he finds it amusing and drinks.  You can kind of tell how she is opening her little mouth to show Cole what to do.  Kids. :)
