Happy Easter!

This Easter, the Romans have a LOT to be thankful for. Of course, the first thing is the sacrifice our Lord made for us. Second, we are thankful that our little boy is doing better. Cole Reynolds still has an NG tube, but he is eating food and liking it. He has not been this excited about food for months. He has a sweet tooth that we are trying to steer towards a more balanced diet, but I'm just ecstatic that he likes eating anything. His new favorite food are strawberries. Yep, he CANNOT get enough. He hounds Joel and me constantly for strawberries. He doesn't like for you to cut them up for him. He prefers you hold the whole strawberry for him as he nibbles it down to the nub. Then he asks for another. His second favorite food of the moment are bananas. He doesn't love them quite as much as strawberries, but pretty close. Just as with the strawberries, he prefers that you hold large chunks for him to nibble. His third favorite food of the moment, if you can even call it that, are strawberry mum mums. What are mum mums you may say. Well, they are round rice cookies with strawberry flavoring on them. They are "organic" but made in China. Does that count? There is also not a lot of nutritional value to them, but I like that he is holding something on his own and eating it. Good practice I think for when he decides he likes something a tad more nutritious. Finally, his fourth favorite food is Bananas, Peaches and Raspberries puree. He would probably eat this at every meal, but Joel is putting his foot down in an attempt to introduce some less sweet dining alternatives. His beloved Sweet Potato Chicken is still on tap, but he just isn't as obsessed as he once was. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me that I can write a whole post on Cole Reynold's favorite foods.

Happy Easter tomorrow to all!!
