We wrapped up a great trip with a non-eventful day on the slopes. I was too sore to snowboard and did not want to miss another gorgeous, sunny day in the hospital having surgery to fix my broken tailbone. Like Mr. Costanza, (Seinfeld) its better to go out on top. Amy and I loved Steamboat and will surely be back. If you ever visit Steamboat, please do the following:
- If you fly into Hayden Airport, do not rent a car. The shuttle is so convenient to get to downtown, the slopes or back to your hotel. Plus you can drink as much as you want at Dinner or Happy Hour at Slopeside and not have to worry about anything which isn't that the point of vacation. Plus, after three days or so you will totally dig the stoner jam band music and wonder why you don't listen to this type of music all the time.

- At the end of a long day on the slopes, go to Slopeside restaurant for Happy Hour and enjoy a beverage of your choice on their snow covered lawn. It is great people-watching.
- Rent your ski's at Terry's Sports on the mountain (next to Slopeside). You can't beat skiing into your happy hour spot, taking off your ski's and slipping into your comfy shoes while enjoying a beverage. Also, it is very convenient if you want to switch from Snowboard to Ski's or just want something different depending on the snow conditions.
- Wear a base layer when you go out at night, it will make all the difference in world.
