My sweet Gemmie Bear has finally taken to eating. At first, she kind of let the cereal run out of her mouth and/or spit it out at you. I got a few showers. But, now she seems to be taking it down. After rice cereal, we tried sweet potatoes. I got of few orange showers too. Yesterday we tried green beans. Personally, I think she really dug the green beans. Her open mouth seemed to indicate enthusiasm to me. I think she would have at the whole thing if I would have kept feeding her, but I didn't since it was her first green bean experience. As it turns out, good thing I didn't because Joel is worried that she might be allergic. =( When I got home today, Gemma's eczema on her face and ankles had flared up. Hopefully it has nothing to do with the green beans (or the sweet potatoes), but just to be sure, we are going to go back to just cereal and sweet potatoes while the outbreak gets better and then try again. Ugh. Unfortunately living with an allergic kiddo jades you for the subsequent kid.
The following pics are previews from Gemma's 6 month photo shoot. She is not the most smiley thing on camera, but I assure you she is the sweetest, most smiley baby ever in person. I'm told she gets giddy and smiles and kicks when I get home from work. Makes my day and melts my heart!! She is such a sweet angel. Every morning I'm greeted with the sweetest little smile when I go pick her up out of her crib. It makes me excited to get up every day.
