Missing My Babies BUT Gemma is Sitting!

I had intended to post last week for my angel's 6 month birthday, but the week flew by.  Not surprisingly because it was my last week of maternity leave.  Monday of this week was not fun.  I had dreaded the day all of last week.  Like ripping off a bandaid, I was sure it would be better once I got on with it, but the impending day loomed the last week as much as I tried to just enjoy.  So, here I am--back at work.  So far so good.  My parents came down for the first week to ease the emotional toll on Cole Reynolds.  I think generally he is ok.  Each day this week I have gotten the "Please, momma, stay with me.  Don't go to work." speech.  It breaks my heart every time.  I've also noticed a little difference in the way he acts when I get home, but all in all, I think he is adjusting just fine.  At the end of the day, that little guy is a trooper.  He is also resilient.  We've seen that numerous times over the last year and a half.  Gemma almost didn't miss a beat.  I say almost because I think the first couple of days her eating was down a bit, but today it seems to have picked up.  I guess she's seeing the writing on the wall that food will be delivered via bottle more often than not from here on out.  Speaking of food.  My sweet girl has started on rice cereal.  So far so good.  At first she made these awful little faces when you fed her like you'd just called her a bad name or something.  But I'm told, she is now with the program and opening her little mouth for food instead of letting it drip out.

Gemma had her 6 month pictures taken this past weekend, so I will post some of those as soon as we get them.  In anticipation of those photos, we have been practicing sitting for a week or two.  Gemma was getting better, but then I got the next couple of photos in a text today.  My baby girl is doing a great job sitting, right?!

Here's a pic of my sweet little "train" shaving just like his daddy and grandpa! (Note - Pretty cool he would allow shaving cream on his face--not one of his favorite textures.)
